As the owner and operator of No Time For Poop, I would like for more people to know about the situation out in Hobemma, AB. We are asking that if people want to adopt a dog to check out Sundance Canine Rescue's website. There are going to be so many more dogs coming out of there in need of a good home. I have attached a link for a taste of what is going on out in Hobemma.

I am offering my services at an extreme discount to those who adopt from the Sundance Canine Rescue. I will definitely be requiring proof of adoption.
This is the least I can do to help make things easier for everyone involved with this tragic situation. Let these dogs have a chance.
This is just a video I found randomly. Unfortunately, it is reality for some but for others they just think commenting on the video is hilarious. Too bad!
But anyway, this gives you an idea of the issue out there with stray dogs.

The brand new Edmonton Humane Society facility is set to open in May and it will have everything dogs and cats could need, but that has some small business owners worried. Edmonton Humane Society facility upsets business ownersUpdated: Wed Feb. 25 2009 11:29:33 The brand new Edmonton Humane Society facility is set to open in May and it will have everything dogs and cats could need, but that has some small business owners worried. "Our concerns are that it's an unlevel playing field, they are a registered not for profit charity and they are opening one of the largest dog daycares in Edmonton," said Roseanna Gulleckson, with Makin' Trax Canine Care and Training Center. The Edmonton Humane Society said they are not trying to compete with small business. "We have been advocating the need for dog day cares, we are now just pretty much doing what we have been preaching," said Shawna Randolph with EHS. EHS argues that there is a need for more daytime care for dogs. "Two years ago we did a survey of dog daycares in the area and found two years ago there were waiting lists for many organizations," said Randolph. But, Gulleckson said she's done her own research and found just the opposite to be true. "I contacted just about every dog daycare in the Yellow Pages, none had waiting lists and to their knowledge hadn't been contacted regarding a study," she said. Despite the fact that EHS has been around for over 100 years, the local dog care industry wants them to stick to their roots. "They need to go back to what their mandate was and what they are supposed to be doing and that is saving the animals," said Nicole Johnston, owner of Dogspaw. The cost of the new EHS building came to over $22 million, with over $6 million from the Alberta government, another $1.25 million from the City of Edmonton and another $400,000 from surrounding cities. We have been very environmentally friendly in and around our own house and have decided it would be fantastic to use bio friendly products. We are looking into expanding into using biodegradeable bags for pick up of dog poop.

Here is an article I found. I find it interesting considering most of us pick up after our dogs with plastic bags while on a walk. Now that Edmonton is thinking about the plastic bag ban this is an article to think about.....

Today, there was an advertisement in the Edmonton Sun about people should be cleaning up after their dogs. I will post the advertisement soon. It is definitely an issue for the city. I would have to say there are some pretty nasty yards out there. I would hope that people will either use a service like ours or do it themselves. Please look after your dogs and family. Let's avoid our dogs and even us from getting sick/diseases from poop that has been sitting around in your yard for long periods of time. Let's Clean Up!! Call Us.
